Model R168 RESETTER automatically identifies the cartridge model and resets the chip to read "FULL" in four seconds. It works on most older 7-pin chipped cartridges produced by Epson to date and also will reset many (but not all) non-Epson brand chipped cartridges. It confirms the reset with a flashing light.

Even if not refilling cartridges, use this device to get all of the ink out of the Epson brand cartridges you buy. Factory chips generally disable cartridges when 20%-30% of the ink still remains unused. Resetting cartridges allows you to run the cartridges dry before disposal. Despite some claims, we see no evidence that this damages printers. These printers are very similar to models Epson sold before chips were introduced and running those printers dry is standard operating procedure.
